THE VILLAGES, Florida – Another amazing adventure has come to a close! Mom and I flew from San Francisco (SFO) to Orlando (MCO) and took Village Airport Van back to her house. Travel time from our guesthouse on Tahiti Island to Mom’s place = 24 hours 22 minutes.

We began the daylong journey by flying from Tahiti to San Francisco on a United Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. After clearing immigration and customs, we settled into the United Club in SFO Concourse E to wait out our six-hour layover.

For United Flight 292 at Gate 67, we received Economy Class seats 36A&C with an empty middle seat between us (switched to 37A&C on board). The Boeing 737-900 departed 50 minutes late at 2:30 p.m. Ugh, so tired. Just want to get to sleep!

Our plane lifted off the ground at 2:54. The time change to Florida is three hours forward, so the clock moved ahead to 5:54 p.m. EST.

I napped the entire flight. We touched down at 10:21 and arrived 41 minutes late into Gate 46 at 10:28. Picked up our bags and rode the van shuttle to Mom’s house, arriving at 12:22 a.m.
